Personal Capital’s all-new app for Android is now available on Google Play. Investors can stay in-the-know about their financial situation any time, anywhere, regardless of operating system.
This latest iteration of the app is not only loaded with sleek imagery and design elements, it also gives new meaning to the word interactive. A few swipes here, a couple of taps there, and suddenly you’re discovering new attributes about your financial picture.
“We revamped the app’s navigation and added several other features,” says Jim Del Favero, Chief Product Officer at Personal Capital. “The app provides a truly dynamic and personalized experience for the user.”
For a closer look at the new features, read on.
Timing is Everything
“We expanded date ranges so people can get a better look at their financial habits over time,” says Del Favero. Now, users can view transactions and investment performance over 30- and 90-day periods, as well as information trends for this year. This feature also makes it even easier to spot spending trends at a glance.
Personal Capital makes it easy to link your financial accounts to our Dashboard. But what if you have assets that aren’t affiliated with any kind of financial institution? This could include jewelry, artwork, cars or even a baseball card collection. You may now add these to your Dashboard through the Android app. Just give it a special name and estimated value and it’s instantly added to your overall Net Worth. You can also add manual investment portfolios and holdings.
Cash Flow Revamp
Never before has it been easier to monitor your income patterns and spending habits. You can swipe between Income and Spending, spin the donut chart to view various categories and change date ranges to view trends over time. You can take the next step in customization by changing a transaction’s category or description.
All About You Index™
Personal Capital first introduced its You Index™ in the iOS app. What investor doesn’t want to see how their portfolio stacks up against the S&P 500? Now they can. With the You Index™, instantly compare your investment performance to major market indices. You can also compare individual holdings to market performance with this new addition.
Personal Capital’s asset allocation feature helps you to instantly view your holdings categorized according to asset class. The new app allows you to tap into any individual asset class to see a breakdown of holdings within. Your investments have never been more interactive.
